Cawn ddianc o'n hadfyd
a'n gofid i gyd,
A therfysg a dwndwr
a chynwrf y byd;
Byth, byth ni ddaw blinder,
na llygredd, na phoen,
Na gelyn, na gormes,
i fynwes yr Oen.
Am hyny mi gredaf
er nad wyf ond gwan,
Y deuaf o ddyfnder
y ddaear i'r lan:
Agorwyd gan Iesu
ffordd newydd a byw,
Im' ddianc o'r anial
i fynwes fy Nuw.
William Williams 1717-91Cas. o dros 2000 o Hymnau (S Roberts) 1841 [Mesur: 11.11.11.11] gwelir: Esgynodd ein Iesu i fynwes ein Ner Mae enw f'Anwylyd mor anwyl mor fawr Wel bellach mi gredaf er nad wyf ond gwan Y clod y gogoniant y gallu o bob rhyw |
We may escape from our adversity
and all our grief,
And the tumult and clamour
and uproar of the world;
Never, never to us shall come weariness,
or corruption, or pain,
Or enemy, or oppression,
in the bosom of the Lamb.
Therefore I believe
although I am only weak,
That I shall come from the depths
of the earth up:
Opened by Jesus was
a new and living way,
For me to escape from the desert
to the bosom of my God.
